Access and use by you of this site constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This takes effect from the date on which you first use this website.

Use of site

The Design and Making Centre (DMC) grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of the DMC. This site or any portion of this site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express written consent of DMC.

Disclaimer

Whilst the DMC makes every effort to keep the information on this website accurate, we disclaim any warranty or representation, express or implied about its accuracy, completeness or appropriateness for a particular purpose. Thus you assume full responsibility for using the information at this website, and you understand and agree that neither DMC nor any of its employees is responsible or liable for any claim, loss or damage resulting from its use.

Linking policy

  1. You are granted a limited, revocable, and non-exclusive right to create a hyperlink to the homepage of this site as long as it does not portray the DMC or its services in a false, misleading, derogatory, or otherwise offensive matter. To link to other areas of the site please contact us for permission.
  2. We are not responsible for the content or reliability of the websites we link to and do not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them. We aim to replace broken links to other sites but cannot guarantee that these links will always work as we have no control over their availability.

Virus protection

  1. We make every effort to check and test material. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material derived from this website.

Terms of sale

  1. No contract exists between you and the DMC for the sale of any goods until the DMC has received and accepted your order.
  2. We have the right to terminate the contract in the event that the goods are unavailable, mis-priced or cleared funds are not received.
  3. The DMC may change these terms of sale without notice to you in relation to future sales.
  4. The goods are at your risk from the time of delivery.
  5. Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until the DMC has received in full all sums due.

Description and price of the goods

  1. The description and price of the goods you order will be as shown on the DMC website at the time you place your order.
  2. The prices shown on the site do not include VAT which will be added when the order is placed.
  3. Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product.

Payment and delivery

  1. For orders placed by private individuals there will be no delivery until cleared funds are received.
  2. The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order.
  3. If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under the DMC control the DMC will inform you as soon as possible.
  4. Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, the DMC will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery.
  5. Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please refuse the delivery.

Your right of cancellation

  1. You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of seven working days after you receive the goods
  2. To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to the DMC by hand or post, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient.
  3. Except in the case of faulty or misdescribed goods, if you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to the DMC at your own cost. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. In the case of faulty or misdescribed goods we shall, after receiving notification, either collect the goods from you or ask you to return the goods yourself and possibly refund you the reasonable postage costs.
  4. Once you have notified the DMC that you are cancelling the contract, the DMC will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you for the goods.
